Terry Delano Handsel obituary photo on Veterans Funeral Care

On Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 11:38 pm, Terry Delano Handsel, slipped from this earth into the arms of our Heavenly Father.   He was surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family
Terry was born on Nov. 8,1935 in Stanley, North Carolina, to Ralph and Alma Handsel.  Terry is survived by his sister, Annette Noles, from Stanley, NC, his wife, Earline of 62 years, his children, Teresa Handsel Nardozzi and her husband, William. Gregory Handsel and his wife Mary, his grandsons, Brock Nardozzi and his wife Jordan, Bryant Nardozzi, Brice Nardozzi, Terry James Handsel and granddaughter, Emily Handsel, and great-grand children, Landon and Axel Nardozzi.

Military
Terry served in the Air National Guard at Morris Field, Charlotte, NC, finishing his eight year military career with an Honorable Discharge in the Air Force Reserve.

Career
Terry and Earline moved to St. Petersburg, FL, in 1954, when Terry began his career with WL Cobb Construction Company.  In 1965, Terry continued his career in road construction with Southern Culvert Manufacturing/National Pipe Co.  Through his career with Southern Culvert, he was promoted to Vice President of Sales, and retired after 37 years.

Terry was a member of First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, attending the Quest Connection Group, 20/20 Prayer Team and one of his greatest joys, serving the Lord through the Missions Team.

Terry’s other great love was his family.  He left a wonderful legacy and many precious memories.

Services
A Celebration Service will be Wednesday, Oct. 25, at First Baptist of Indian Rocks Worship Center.  The family will receive friends at 1 pm and the service will be at 2 pm.  A private internment will be held at a later date at Indian Rocks Memorial Gardens.

At Terry’s request and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Missions at First Baptist of Indian Rocks.  Checks should be made to First Baptist of Indian Rocks, with a note in memory of Terry Handsel, 12685 Ulmerton Rd., Largo, FL  33774.
