Thomas Eugene Mulkey

Thomas Eugene Mulkey was born on July 26, 1949 to William and Ruth Mulkey in St. Petersburg, Florida. He passed away on Friday, February 21, 2003 at his home in St. Petersburg. He was a 70% disabled Army retiree. Tom was a St. Petersburg, Florida native and a graduate of Northeast High School in 1967 and the University of Florida in 1975.

Military

Captain Tom Mulkey joined the Army on August 2, 1968 and served as an paratrooper during the Vietnam War retiring on August 22, 1983. Over his years of service Captain Mulkey served with the 82nd Airborne during Vietnam, the 173rd Airborne Division, as well as some time with the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.

Family

At the time of his death Tom was survived by his wife, Susan Mulkey of 29 years; son Eric Mulkey; daughter Tara Mulkey; Father William; three brothers Bill, Richard, and Robert and one granddaughter.

Services

A graveside service with military honors presented by the United States Army will take place at Bay Pines National Cemetery on March 5, 2021 at 2:30 pm. The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association will be in attendance as honored guests.

In lieu of flowers all memorial contributions can be made to the Danny Dietz Memorial Scholarship Fund or the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
