Thomas Heruska (70) of Seffner Florida got called home by the lord January 5th, 2023. He was surrounded by his wife Shelley, and his three children: Richard, Christina and Matthew.
He is survived by his brother Robert, nieces Patricia and Janet, his four grandchildren: Ethan, Owen, Nolan, and Evan, his daughter-in-law Laura, and his son-in-law Robert. Tom was a proud American and served our nation as a Merchant Marine. He retired as a postal worker in New Jersey and moved to Florida to be near his children and grandchildren. He loved fishing, a good yard sale, and the simple things in life like watching Sunday football with his family. He was the kind of man who would go out of his way for his family and strangers alike. He will be greatly missed by so many, including his beloved dog Lily. In his memory the family asks to spread random acts of kindness to others. Arrangements entrusted to Veterans Funeral Care.

Am so sorry for your loss.I am AnnMaries sister, I have lots of memories of Tom when I was a teen living in Pennsylvania, I remember his sports car And remember thinking he was so cool. Tom was a kind and gentle man He was always smiling.RIP Tom.
I knew Tom through his marriage to my sister his first wife and father to my nephew Richard and my niece christina.wow to say the least on how beautiful and handsome his children are and I know he is very proud the way they turned out very caring themselves and great parents.let it be known Tom was in the merchant Marines first then joined the marine corps second yes there is a difference.i remember sitting around having a beer with him and him giving me advice on the path I should take like going into the army my mind was made up on going into the Marines but Tom literally steered me into the army and I had a great time.such a nice man always having Tom to talk to you .I miss him and of course his smile.God bless
