Thomas Joseph Laramee

LARAMEE

With sadness, love, and peace, the family of Thomas Joseph Laramee, announces his passing on November 1, 2020 (All Saints’ Day), at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, FL following a silent, swift battle with advanced kidney cancer.  Tom was born on February 28, 1962 in Burlington,Vermont, the son of Andrew and Sylvia Laramee.  He was united in the Holy Sacrament of Marriage to CeAnne (McDonald) at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ryan, Iowa on November 29, 1986.  Together they shared nearly 34 years of marriage.  He is survived by his wife, CeAnne; his four daughters Sarah Puglia (Tommy), Marisa Boss (Zach), Caitlin, Ashley Burke (Patrick); his five grandchildren Ilaria, Ailis, Theodore, Giovanni, and one in utero due to arrive November 23, 2020; his parents Andrew and Sylvia Laramee; his siblings Wendy Wilton (Chuck) and Michael Laramee (Nancy); many nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary and two grandbabies Brennan and Julianne (Boss).

Tom was a parishioner and choir member at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church for 22 years; a member of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree, 40 Days for Life, and Adult Men’s Hockey League at TBSA Oldsmar, FL. Tom worked in the aerospace industry his entire adult career with the special gift in aerospace sales.  He loved his work and was known to say that Sunday’s were his favorite day, because the next day was Monday: the start of the work week.  Tom lived life to the fullest.  He was genuine and authentic, you never had to question what he was thinking.  When asked how his day was, nearly always the answer was, “Just another perfect day in paradise,” and he meant it. Tom enjoyed classic rock music, playing ice hockey, skiing, hiking, baseball, working in his vegetable garden, traveling with his family, and spending as much time as he could with his family and grandchildren. Tom was most proud of the family he helped to raise and his grandchildren.

The entire Laramee family wish to express their sincere gratitude for the way your love and prayers have uplifted them during this sudden loss of this most amazing man. All who wish to attend his service or send a card, please include on a separate piece of paper a memory about Tom.

There will be a celebration of life on Thursday, November 12 at Crooked Thumb Brewery, Safety Harbor, FL from 5:30-8:00pm.
The funeral mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday, November 13 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Dunedin, FL with burial to follow (approx 12:30) at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.  All are welcome.  Tom’s family has arranged a reception and continued celebration including food and drink being held at Veterans Funeral Care (830 N.
