Tina Lucille Parks, a beacon of warmth and compassion, passed away peacefully at her home of natural causes on March 2, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on December 16, 1961, in Jefferson County, Kentucky, Tina was a cherished daughter to the late Raymond Jack and Lucille “Dolly” (Alvey) Lakin. Her journey through life was marked by devotion, kindness, and an unwavering love for those around her.
Tina shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Douglas “Boo” Parks, whom she married on March 10, 2006, in Valdosta, Georgia. Together, they created a tapestry of love and memories over 20 wonderful years. Though Doug predeceased her, their bond remains a testament to enduring love. Tina is also preceded in death by her treasured mother-in-law, Irene Parks “Ma,” and her two inseparable best friends, Tonie Rose and Jan.
Left to cherish her memory is her supportive brother, Bill Willis “Billy,” and his wife, Misty Willis. Tina also leaves behind her spiritually adopted cubs, Joseph and Cassandra, her devoted “sissy” Yvette Wilson, and her adored furbabies, Lucky, Tia, Ebony, and Chloe. Her absence will be profoundly felt by her extended family and the countless friends who were touched by her radiant presence.
Tina’s heart was as wide as her smile, and her life’s work was a testament to her nurturing spirit. As a dedicated homemaker and a light for the Lord, she spent over two decades volunteering with various organizations to foster cats, with a particular soft spot for sick kittens. Her gentle hands saved hundreds of these precious “bottle babies,” each one a testament to her boundless compassion. A cherished member of The Point Church on Belleair Road in Clearwater, Florida, Tina found joy in her faith and community. Her hobbies reflected her vibrant spirit—she reveled in the joy of fishing, the thrill of playing bingo, and the infectious beats of disco, with KC and the Sunshine Band holding a special place in her heart. Tina’s personality was as large as her heart, wrapped in a sweet and gentle demeanor that endeared her to everyone she met. Her ever-present smile and comforting hugs were a balm to the soul, and her innocent giggle could light up any room.
A celebration of Tina’s life will be held on March 19, 2026, at 12:30 PM at Bay Pines National Cemetery, located at 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., St. Petersburg, Florida. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Suncoast Hospice Yellow Team for their unwavering support of her sister-in-law, Tootsie, and her niece, Emalie Ruth, ensuring Tina received the best care possible in her final days. Tina Lucille Parks leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and an indomitable spirit that will be dearly missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

I knew Doug and Tina for the past 14yrs …they were clients of East Bay Animal Hospital where I met them both and they showed their kindness to their fur babies. I wish I could be there tomorrow to show my respect but I have to work to help more clients with their fur babies .
So sorry for your loss, Tina and Doug were good friends of my parents, Smokey and Sandy, with thoughts and prayers.
Tina was my beloved Aunt. She will be forever missed but never forgotten. She impacted my life greatly. She showed me connections and taught me how life makes unexpected turns. I’ll never forget how warm, happy, and accepting she was. My love for her is endless.
