Tony Lee Collings, 67, of Clearwater, Florida died April 19, 2019 at his home surrounded by family and friends.
He was born on February 20, 1952 in St. Louis Missouri, the son of Betty Collings.
On June 28, 1970, he married his lifelong love, Jacquelyn Kuhn Collings in Tampa, Florida. They were happily married for 48 wonderful years. One year later in 1971, Tony joined the Air Force where he served as a firefighter at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida. In later years, Tony worked in the real estate industry both as a realtor and a real estate appraiser. Tony loved photography, admiring the work of Ansel Adams, and enjoy taking pictures of nature. He proudly won best of show at the Florida State Strawberry Festival in his younger years. Tony also loved the beach and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Jacquelyn Collings, his daughter Vanessa Phelps, his brothers Dave Collings and Joe Collings and his sister, Kelly Hornbeek.
Tony’s viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on April 24, 2019 at Veterans Funeral Care located at 15381 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760. His funeral will be held at 10:30 am on April 25, 2019 at Florida National Cemetery located at 6502 SW. 102nd Ave., Bushnell, FL 33513.
