Tressie Jean Hull

On December 8, 2022, Tressie Jean Hull went to be home with her Lord & savior, Jesus Christ. Born on April 13, 1937 in  Lorado (Logan Co.),West Virginia,  She lived 85 glorious God loving years & uplifted every soul she came to know in this world.

The daughter of a minister/farmer father & mother, she was the middle child of 9. She is survived by her sister Martha Spake, her daughter, Dawn Hope Herr (Allen Raymond Herr, I-spouse), her son, Joshua Michael Hull (Melissa Michelle Hull- spouse), grandchildren: Allen Raymond Herr, II, Olivia Ashley Hull & Tyler James Hull & her great granddaughters: Autumn Rose & Erie Midoriya Hull. She is preceded in passing by: James Clark Traylor (son) & Don Cordell Hull (husband).

Tressie moved about the Ohio River Valley as wife & book keeper for her husband, as he trained E.M.T.’s & managed a Stanley Steemer franchise. They moved here to Sarasota, FL in 1982. She earned her nursing degree through S.C.T.I. and worked in several nursing homes & as a private duty nurse. She enriched the lives of her patients for over 30 years. She attended Calvary Assembly of God when they were renting floor space in the gymnasium of the Y.M.C.A. Her family grew up in that church & watched it grow into what is now Church of Hope. It was her home & she always made it top priority to be there for fellowship & worship every week she was able. Her heart for patients & Friends & love for God, family & this community has always been a beacon of hope, humility & humanity. She demonstrated the epitome of a Christian woman, mother, care giver, grandmother & great grandmother. Her memory will live on eternally in fondness & honor in our hearts as she is now home with her Jesus, husband, Don (of 38 years)& son, James. Heaven gained an angel for its’ choir & a cook for its’ kitchen. Her peace, love & happiness blessed & inspired us all.
