Virginia (Ginny) Oliver, born July 27, 1934. Went to be with the Lord November 25, 2025. Virginia was born in Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by 5 children: Laura Hope (husband Ken Hope), Teresa Dew (husband Daryl Dew), Henry Oliver III (wife Michelle Oliver), Denise Dery (husband Wayne Dery), Jeffery Oliver (wife Brandi Oliver). Sister, Beverly Sneed (husband Dan Sneed). 16 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.
Virginia had a fruitful life of love and ministry service. She accepted the call to missionary work in Puerto Rico in 1957. She met her husband Henry there and remained in Puerto Rico raising her family until 1976 when the family relocated to Clearwater Florida. Ginny then accepted the call to help in the founding of CTN (Christian Television Network) as the very first employee of the network from 1977 until she retired in 2016 after 49 years of faithful service to CTN as Administrative Assistant and member of the Board of Directors of CTN.
Virginia was a long-time member of Clearwater First Assembly of God Church, Connect Church, Clearwater and then Living Stones Church, Clearwater Florida.
She was known for serving in various areas of the ministry but best remembered for her role in the choir for many years. She was faithful and so engaged in the work of the Lord. She is remembered for her love and care as a wonderful display of the love of Jesus that not only touched her life but the lives of all who know her.
Celebration of Life services will be held for Virginia Sunday, November 30, 2025, 5:00 PM-7:00 PM (VIEWING), and Monday, December 1, 2025, 11:00 AM (CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE). Services are being held at Veterans Funeral Care, 830 North Belcher Road, Clearwater, FL.

Kim and I have so many wonderful memories of her. She lived a life of faithfulness and ministry. Her pride and joy surely was seeing her children follow her into ministry. She left a legacy to all of you and us of faithfulness to the Lord!

She was a wonderful mother-in-law to me, always treated me as her son, and I know that she loved me and cared for me… We miss her very much and her loving expressions and her cooking and her hospitality and the warmth of her presence she will be greatly missed, but I know that she is in the place where we all long to be one day… love you, mom
Ginny was such a special part of the D’Andrea family and was a 2nd mother to me growing up. She always lovingly opened up her home to me and had a smile on her face. I loved her dearly. ❤️
We are so grateful for her many decades served at CTN helping to establish and grow the ministry. I have no doubt both my parents were cheering “Welcome Home” when she stepped into heaven.
Virginia Oliver was a great blessing to all who knew her. Her faithful service to Clearwater First Assembly, and her longtime service to CTN is truly remarkable. She is now with our Lord, and her service to Him will be rewarded.
Ginny always treated me like I was family as I grew up at Clearwater First Assembly. It was always a pleasure to sing with her in choir and she was very encouraging to me as I was learning to play my violin and then playing it in the worship band. I will always love and cherish her kind words and hugs that I used to get. I’m praying for all of the family. – Love: Laura (Workman) Menendez
Mom, From the very first moment I met you, I knew in my heart that God had hand-picked you for Teresa and me. You raised me in a loving Christian home and taught me to be faithful, dependable, and steady. You guarded my heart as only a true mother could.
Thank you for your support, your guidance, and the beautiful example you’ve always been in my life. I love you, and miss you Mom. You will be forever in my heart. ❤️
I have so many fond memories of time spent with my Aunt Ginny. I love her so much.
Big hugs to all my family in Florida. Wish I could be there. Love you all!
It is surreal to realize my mother has transitioned from this earth. Mom was the most selfless person I have ever met and everything she did was for her family. She was an inspiration to all whom knew her, the epitome of love, peace and joy. Her legacy will be carried on for generations. Thank you mom for everything. I love you and will miss you so much.
Ginny such a sweet & godly example of the love of Jesus. We love her dearly. Our prayers & condolences to her precious family! Love you all!
Ginny and I were together in our beautiful choir at First Assembly of God, Clearwater.
We didn’t do a lot together , but it was always good to see her.
She was a blessing to all around her.
We’ll see you soon Ginny!
Love and blessings to your dear family ♥️
Bonnie

To the entire family of Virginia “Ginny” Oliver, my heartfelt deepest condolences & thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Ginny was certainly the Matriarch of the Oliver Family. Ginny has left an amazing legacy here on earth, but most importantly, when she met her Lord and Saviour, His words to her, I’m sure were, “Well done my good & faithful servant. Well done.”.
I met Ginny when I joined the choir at Clearwater First Assembly Church. Ginny was so loving, caring, a true friend and woman of God. Ginny was so proud of her family, each & every one. She was very dedicated to every ministry she was involved in. Ginny never hesitated to stop & pray for or with you if you asked, or if she felt you may be in need. Ginny, I’m blessed to have known you & to have been your friend. Until we meet again…. Beth Tassillo 🙏🏻✝️
I only met Ginny twice but she was sweet and gracious. My sincere condolences to her family. I am sorry that I cannot be there with my dearfriend today but she knows she is in my heart and prayers. ❤️
In my brief time serving alongside such a powerful ministry family at Clearwater First Assembly, I had the pleasure of seeing Virginia on a regular basis. She always had a way of lighting up the room and bringing such joy to anyone she came into contact with! We take delight in knowing that for believers death is not the end, it’s just the beginning! My deepest thoughts and prayers go out for a family that we love so much!
Ginny and I were the first two employees at WCLF, Christian Television Network. We started working together in the conference room at D’Andrea Electric. I will always remember her sweet spirit; Ginny always had a smile for everyone who came through the door. My heart goes out to all her loved ones in this time of grief.
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
In loving memory of
Never will there be another
Letting us not forget those
Of who touched our lives forever
Very much loved and missed
Impossible for words to describe
Nothing is the same
Grief unbearable to hide
Making the most of each moment
Every second really does count
More than anything else
Ones loved always around
Remember all of the time when
Your memories never far away
Of that someone special will be
Forever in your heart to stay
