Virginia was born July 27, 1929 in Nova, Ohio. She was the daughter of Chester and Esther (Bruchart) Phillips. She continued her nursing career in Florida working in the offices of Dr. Hugh O’Brien and Dr. Donald Nikolaus at Mease Hospital Dunedin before retiring in 1998.
She was married to her sweetheart, Dale McBride on June 19, 1953 after his return from the Korean War, having serving in the U.S Marine Corps. They shared 62 years of marriage together.
She lived in Ashland, Ohio until 1974 when her family moved to Clearwater, Florida. In 1999, Dale and Ginny moved to Dunedin, FL
She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Largo where she was active in the choir and played piano and organ for many of the different musical programs. Singing was one of her greatest loves.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation, Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary or SPCA Tampa Bay.
What a special lady I feel privileged to call her a friend. I remember many years singing with her in church. Blessings go out to Dale and girls.
Remembering fond childhood memories with the McBrides and the love and kindness of Aunt Virginia.
