Walter J. Lameka, 71, of New Port Richey died Wednesday evening, April 13, 2015 at the James A Haley Veterans Hospital.
Walter proudly served four years in the United States Air Force serving in the 6486th Air Bomb Wing of the Pacific Air Force (PACAF) operating from Hickam Air Force Base Hawaii. He was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct medal. He was an acting member of Vietnam Veterans of America chapter 195 in Zephyrhills. Walter served as Chapter Vice President in 2013-2014. He was an avid fisherman and told captivating fishing stories. He will be interred at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at a later date.
