William Herman Illge was born in Astoria New York January 2, 1934 passed peacefully at Mortan Plant Hospital November 20, 2020 after a short illness.
Mr Bill as he was commonly called was a 20 year Retired US Navy Seabee, 45 Year veteran of the Caldwell Fire Department, and also worked as a Carpenter for Essex County Hospital Center in Cedar Grove NJ for 25 years. He was predeceased by Herman and Kate Illge his father and mother, and was loved by his 6 Children, 13 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. In his later years he found comfort and joy in sharing his love of life by clowning as Oogie and would perform for the Veteran Hospitals and Children Hospitals in the Largo, Clearwater Florida area.
