William Cicero “Bill” Lane, 89, of Clearwater, a longtime, well-known plasterer, died June 15, 2023. Born in Branford, Florida to William Clifton Lane and Minnie Lee Kelly Lane. His wife of 50 years, Annie and son Joe have passed away. He is survived by his son Tim, of Clearwater. Memorial service will be Wednesday, June 28th at 2pm at Veterans Funeral Care.
I didn’t know Bill but I know his two sons well. He and Annie raised Tim and Joe in the church. Both boys very faithful, and they loved their mother to the moon and back. Tim has an amazing memory and has wished me many many happy birthdays. Tim has been a faithful usher at church and has always helped or volunteered when asked. Tim, you are in our thoughts and our prayers.
Tim,So sorry for your loss. If we lived closer we would attend your Dad’s memorial service. Just know you are in our thoughts & prayers! Clearwater First Assembly of God Strong! Joe Dale & Elanea Nelson
I did not know Bill at all but I was very familiar with his family. Bill’s wife Anne was a tremendous woman of prayer and faith and was the ‘glue’ that held the family together. I also had the privilege of knowing Bills sons Joey and Timmy very well as their youth pastor and friend. Anne, along with Joey and Timmy were very faithful to Clearwater First Assembly of God church and were very active in various ministry endeavors. Our hearts, love and prayers are extended now towards Tim as the last living member of the Lane family and we pray Gods peace, comfort and presence would strengthen him during this time and in the days to come.
Tim, sorry to hear about the passing of your dad.
Nancy and I will be praying for peace for you that only God can give.
Oh Tim! I am so glad you found me. I’ve known you since middle school and I look forward to the verses you send me every morning. We have both been caretakers for our fathers. Earth is the only heaven the unsaved will know and earth is the only hell the saved will know. I hope to God he is the latter. I hope you find comfort in his passing that he is out of pain. He may not have shown it but I know he was grateful for your help. God bless you at this time of loss.
I love you Tim, your family will be together again soon with Jesus Christ. Your brother Joe and you were (are) very faithful servants for God and your dad brought you into this earth to raise a couple good men. Praise God for your father.
So sorry to hear of your dads passing. We will keep you in our prayers.
Tim,
I am praying for you. My condolences for your loss. I met him once while dropping you off from Clearwater First Assembly of God. Rest in Peace Mr. Lane.
Tim, my condolences for your loss. I am praying for God’s peace to comfort you during this time. You were a blessing to your dad. Always in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you, my brother.
Timmy, my dear friend, please know I am praying for you during this difficult time. Much, much love to you.
Tim I knew your father as Willy Lane. Your father was my junior boys Sunday school teacher. I can remember he would memorize scripture that we challenged him with each Sunday. You dad was also a fast pitch pitcher on the church softball team that had this wicked sorta sidearm underhand motion. Our hearts and prayers go out to you. We prayed for you as a child when you were injured and witnessed your miraculous recovery. May God continue to guide your path as you continue to follow him.
Tim – Our deepest condolences go out to you my friend… May God’s love comfort and bless you, giving you strength and courage at this difficult time….
I never knew Bill, but I know and love and consider Tim a friend.
I enjoy and look forward to seeing and talking to Tim on Sundays at church.
It can be hard to be a father, and also hard to be a son.
Cherish the best memories for as long as you can.
I’ll be praying for you Tim.
