William “Bill” Arthur Milanese passed away on November 19, 2015 at Bay Pines V.A. Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL following a year-long battle with cancer. Bill was 69 years old.
Bill was born on March 5, 1946 in Torrington, CT to Joseph and Grace Sparks Milanese. He graduated from Oliver Wolcott Technical School in 1964 and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Airforce. Bill was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota and also saw time in Guam and Thailand. Following the Air Force, Bill worked for the Gelormino Oil Company in Torrington prior to moving to Pinellas Park, FL in 1978.
Bill owned and operated Bill’s Appliance for 25 years in Pinellas County, FL. He was an avid golfer, fan of the Tampa Bay Bucs and Rays, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member Hope Lutheran Church in St. Petersburg, as well as VFW Post 4364 and American Legion Post 125.
Bill was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Grace Sparks Milanese; sister Donna Milanese; son-in-law Bryan Tarsitano; and son-in-law Judson Scott.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Judith Silano Milanese; daughter Lisa Milanese Scott and grandchildren Sara and Adam; son Thomas Milanese, wife Tracy, and grandchildren Victoria, Kassie, Calvin, and Charlotte; daughter Carolyn Milanese Tarsitano and grandchild Angelina; and grandchild Savannah Epperson, husband Sean, and great-grandchild Anya.
In addition, he is survived by two aunts, Edna Sparks Weingart and Janet Sparks Benoit; and seven brothers and sisters, Robert Milanese, Ronald Milanese, Carol Milanese Weber, Janice Milanese Montefeltri, Cammy Milanese Wagner, Joseph Milanese and John Milanese. He is also survived by eighteen nieces and nephews.
William Arthur Milanese will be buried in a military ceremony at the Bay Pines V.A. Cemetery on December 1st @10:45am.
