LCDR William “Bill” Lee RET USN, 84, passed under Hospice Care on January 6. He is survived by his wife Jane and children, Janice (Brian), Michael (Thresia), and Jon (Bricey) as well as five grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters. Bill joined the US Navy after high school and received his education from the military in order to raise to the rank of an officer. Bill received several medals and ribbons including the Vietnam Service Medal with four service stars. After retirement from the military, he moved to Florida with his family and worked as a comptroller. His proudest achievements were serving in the military, being a dad, helping with the boy scouts, and his membership in Friendship Force.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 13, 2023, at Veterans Funeral Care on Belcher Rd in Clearwater.
Visitation will begin at 11:30 with a service to follow at 12:30.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
I was happy to know Bill and his wife, Jane for the last year thru Friendship Force. I am sad to learn of his death and pray for Jane.

I never had the privilege of knowing Bill, but I can see he was a wonderful person! My prayers are with Jane and the family….for peace.
Bill was a great guy. He did a lot for Friendship Force and was always there supporting it. I liked his sense of humor and he made me laugh. He will be greatly missed. Jane and Bill were a great couple and she supported Bill 110%. Thinking of you Jane and your family.
So sorry to hear this about Bill. .. I didn’t know him but I know that you, Jane, will be strong and know that he is in God’s hands now. I would love to be there but have a volunteer training in NPR but my thoughts are with you
It was our Pleasure to have known Bill and Jane over the years when Ron and I attended Chapel on the Hill. Bill will talk to me on getting good grades and told us Be whatever you want to be and to make money to support yourselves. Bill was a big asset to my dear friend Jane, Who I adore. Such a wonderful family. Jane will miss him, he was not only a great husband but a great father too. I will keep you in our prayers. Hugs,

Bill and Jane Lee were wonderful team together they supported one another 100% of the time. Jane will surely miss Bill as will all of us. He was always so helpful and kind to the members of friendship force. We all loved Bill Connie duBois
