This was from a flyer the Sugar Creek Mobile Home Community put out on Wolfgang “Marty” Stevens when he was named one of the Sugar Creek Do-gooders.
Wolfgang “Marty” Stevens brought a lifetime of varied experiences to Sugar Creek when he moved there ten years ago. He was born and reared in Munich, Germany and emigrated to the United States with his family. He served in the U.S. Army, owned and operated an auto repair and body shop and was an officer at the Elk Lodge for 27 years. For our park, Marty has served as Newsletter Distribution, Night Watchman, Dime Bingo Caller, Shuffleboard captain, Vice President of SCCC, 50/50 seller and general helper with various activities. His health problems were improving as he continued with Mens Poker, looking after his mother Margot who looks after him, and participating in activities with the people he loves in the park he loves and promotes. Marty appreciates the friendships he has here, and we appreciate what Marty has done for us.
Marty passed away on October 22, 2018. He is survived by his mother, Margot; brothers, Gunther and Mark; his sister, Elkie; and many, many friends.
This is such a lovely tribute to your loving brother. I hope you and your family will enjoy your many memories of the good times with him. Thinking of you, Michelle
God Bless Wolfie and your whole family.
You are in our hearts and we remember the joyful times we spent together.
In loving memory, Karin, Dagmar, Rosemarie and Wilfried
